Win Family Festival Tickets Worth £82, Dinosaurs In The Park, Meet A Seal

Cool Things To Do In Devon 18.05.23

Happy Thursday!

If you like food and music, the Exeter Foodies Festival on 16-18 June should be right up your alley.

And thanks to the generosity of the organisers we are giving away 5 sets of family tickets each worth £82.

It promises to be a great weekend. You can see top chef demonstrations, sample delicious and authentic Devon fare, and watch disco diva Sophie-Ellis Bexter and Britpop sensation Toploader live on stage.

The festival is at Escot Park, Ottery St May, Devon EX11 1LU. Learn more here.

To enter the draw email me with the word FOODIE. Five winners will be chosen at random from the entries.

Winners will be notified by 6 June and can collect their passes on the day at the festival gate. It’s that easy!

If you know someone else who’d like a chance to win please share this with them. They just have to sign up to Go Devon! to enter!

Good luck! 🚀

With love, cream and jam (in that order).

Seal Encounters. Photo: Easy Divers

Want To Meet A Seal?

Like diving? Want to meet a seal?

For a bucket-list wild animal encounter, guided North Devon seal dive trips could be just the outing for you.

Seals are one of the most adorable and diver-curious ocean residents, and reliably show up at known spots in the area.

Dive sites are shallow and sheltered, but remember seals are wild animals, can be unpredictable and have been known to bite.

You need a PADI Open Water qualification or equivalent, regardless of experience level.

Dives are available June to October.

An all day trip with 2 guided dives from Easy Diver, Ilfracombe costs £166. With equipment hire £211.

(The company was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Cath Barker in 2015. Previously, Simon trained animals for Hollywood movies and TV productions.)

Escape To A World Of Pure Imagination, Theatre Royal, Plymouth, 7-18 June

Based on the iconic story, the spectacular stage show of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory combines memorable songs from the original 1970s film motion picture with new music.

When Charlie Bucket finds one of five golden tickets to the Wonka Chocolate Factory, he and the other winners can’t wait to feast on the sweets of their dreams.

But beyond the gates, they discover more than just remarkable edible delights.

The weird and wonderful world of the Chocolate Factory has dazzled the senses of generations of children and is running for 12 nights at the Plymouth Theatre Royal.

Tickets from £40.
