How about a round of golf without clubs?

Devon has idyllic countryside which makes it a perfect location for some challenging, interesting and beautiful footgolf courses.

Footgolf is what it says: played on a golf course with a football and bigger holes.

As a sport it’s growing fast.

The rules are pretty much the same as golf (perhaps a bit less etiquette) and there’s no need for equipment apart from the ball. You wear trainers, not football boots.

Most Devon courses are open by the end of March.

There are two in Exeter, the relatively new Exeter Football Golf Course, and Footgolf on the Exe, which has obstacles like crazy golf.

Other courses include Footgolf North Devon, Ilfracombe, Plymouth Footgolf at Central Park, and Footgolf Devon, at Westcutt near Cullompton.

Prices range from £5 to £11 for 9 holes. Find a course in Devon near you.

Where to see lambing in Devon this Spring

The ewes have been scanned and are in the shed all warm and cosy.

Spending time with newborns and their mums is a wonderful experience for all ages and if you are lucky you may witness a birth.

Here are 2 places you can see lambing over the next couple of months.

Sip and paint with friends (and your inner artist) at The Paint Club

The founders of The Paint Club say the best bit is seeing the smiles on people's faces after they have created an artwork they didn't think was possible.

After 2 hours led by a professional artist most people leave with a “mini masterpiece”, a sense of achievement and a boost of energy.

For £32, everything you need is provided including a canvas to take home at the end of the night.

There are paint nights coming up in Bideford and Plymouth.

Take in amazing views on the Langstone Fell Race, Dartmoor

Starting and finishing in the Dartmoor village of Peter Tavy this race takes in Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the ancient Langstone before returning via Boulters Tor.

As part of the Devon Fell Series, the 10K features stunning views across Dartmoor with hills and short technical challenges.

There will be parking close to the race HQ, toilets, refreshments and trophies and medals for category placings.

Make this stunning Easter wreath

Join a special Easter wreath workshop and be guided step by step through the process of creating a lovely seasonal tribute for your door.

In a 3-hour session everything you need to make a wreath will be provided and each stage of the process demonstrated with individual assistance.

Emma’s Flowers uses biodegradable wreath rings so that everything can be recycled and composted.

Immerse yourself in a candlelit sound bath

Lie down, get comfy and just listen. All you’ll hear are the soothing sounds of Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and gongs.

Sound healing can assist in many areas of wellbeing including stress, anxiety and pain as well as being a lovely way to relax.

You can take a candlit sound bath with sound therapist Kelly Day for £12.50 in Tiverton, Crediton or Exeter on dates in the next few weeks.

Just bring a mat, pillow and blanket.
